Ladybug! (FULL COLORS ONLY)

Hi all, I’m new to this forum and I love photography. I really appreciate the vast amounts of interesting discussions and knowledge that dpreview has to offer from its nice members. Anyway, enough of the introduction business.

Overall, I like your shot. I think it’s quite a hard shot to capture the lady bird in this pose. So well done. The one thing I would say is that the cone is a bit distracting and out of position. I think it would be nicer if the cone was a bit more towards the bottom left corner and was blurred to reduce its impact a tad.

Yes, it is the only one I have made like that so far, so it is indeed a once in a life time :-)

At the time I spent most of a day reshooting the beetle taking off, recapturing it and placing it back on the leaf. Only very few shots came out usefull and only this one was ... well, pretty successful :-)

Yes, it should not have said "shutter speed" but rather "exposure time", as it was taken using a manual flash set to minimum output, which I found somewhere should correspong to 1/50000th of a second.

I have one question: in your photo description you wrote: Shutter speed: 1/50000 sec.
but your camera's top speed is 1/4000. So... ?
