Silicon Cities

Challenge #2 in the Engineering series. Hosted by Atrin.
Challenge has finished
With the second challenge in the Engineering Series we turn our attention to the circuit board. These little cities of resistors, capacitors, transistors and various other surface components can be found virtually anywhere you can find electronics. Many different materials with their own properties are littered across these boards, with a great deal of variation in depth/dimensions. Be creative with your lighting (be it sunlight or controlled indoor lighting). There is no excuse for a boring photograph!

I was trying to get some capacitors and circuit chips on the top of an old modem and sound card, but none of them looked right. It was a boring shot. I tried the backside, that looks like highways and it worked a lot better. I played with saturation and shadow levels to make it look like night.
