Interpretation: Image Manipulation

Challenge #50 in the Ways of Seeing series. Hosted by jezsik.
Challenge has finished
Who needs reality when you're a master of photo manipulation? Start with an image with a clear and obvious subject. Manipulate the surroundings to put that subject in an otherwise unrealistic location. For example, put a swimsuit clad sun-bather on a snowy mountain or a giraffe walking down main street. IMPORTANT: explain the manipulations (not the technique used, but what you have done to the image).

Both subjects (the whale and the boat) were taken on the same day. The overloaded boat was already absurd as it was, but I masked in the leaping orca off the bow to make it seem as if all the photographers on the boat were missing the shot.
