This reminds me of the photography of Andrzej Dragan. Many people try to emulate the "Dragan Effect."

This is a great portrait BTW.

While I find the portrait nice and intriguing, I can't help but feel it's so over-processed that's it no longer really a creation of the camera and lens and photographer. Rather, it's gone far beyond what we could do in the lab as well with b&w or color. When I look at it, it's almost like a painting based on a photograph - a digital painting. Don't get me wrong, I do really like it, it's just to much PP for my taste to be "photography".
