Shot the glass with a hi-velocity pellet rifle, catching the moment of impact. Used three off-camera speedlights tethered together and placed in a plastic enclosure for protection from the mess. Shot in the dark with white foam core as a backdrop. Flashes set to low power to obtain shortest possible flash duration.
