It was one of those instant spur of the moment shots... I happened to have my old Sony bridge camera with me and was coming back from the shops when I saw the old lady alone on the seafront. I think I just got lucky, which is always the way with street shots, I guess.

Congratulations. I had expected this photo to win the challenge. You have a very good compostion with regard to colors and the plasement of objects shown AND your picture tells a story.
I hope voters do your photos more justice next time.
