Thank you for the kind comments and praise – this was actually the first shot I took with my new 70-200mm AF-S VRII lens when it arrived a couple of weekends back. Now to take something half as good again lol :P. Thanks.

I agree with the other comments...you captured the right elements to make this a very moving picture; the angle, the right depth of focus, black & white for a sombre emotional tone.

This is such a powerful image! The clearity of focus to never forget the unknown soldier that stands shoulder to shoulder with all the others. Then the choice of B&W to give it a sense period to the days of WWII where so many were lost regardless of borders. Very moving...
