This shot was taken a couple of years ago using two strobes cross lit, one behind and one in front of the runner on the sidewalks. It was early in the morning so the light in the sky was easy to tame, but the strobes were needed to bring life back into the wall and subject. I passed this freshly painted building while driving one day and knew I'd have to shoot something there. The wall used to be a dull off-white, but the bright blue paint turned it into something special.

Taken: Sunday, 24th August, 2008
Focal length: 17 mm
Shutter speed: 1/250 sec
Aperture: F3.5
ISO: 100
Notes: Now a Nikon shooter, this was shot a couple of years ago when I was using a Sony A700(I was a transplant Minolta shooter). I still think it was a great camera at the time, but the lack of support by product manufacturers for Sony and their proprietary flash hot shoe made me switch to a D300, later adding a D700.
