"Dead Space"?

"Music is the silence between the notes"-Claude DeBussy. It's not always necessary to fill the frame with the subject to create a powerful image. Sometimes, the "dead space" reveals as much about the story behind a photo as the main subject. However, there can be a subtle, yet profound, difference between ineffective dead space and "silence" which adds to the impact of the photo (just as it adds impact to music).This is likely going to be a difficult challenge for both entrants and voters. As such, I ask voters to really give each entry careful consideration. Thanks.
