Drummers playing the drums - that's what this is about. Flailing arms, intense expressions, blurred cymbals, frozen action - feel the rhythm, eat to the beat, bang on a can. Drummers provide the life-force of music no matter what part of the world they hail from. We want to see them here. But it ain't that simple: there are rules you must follow. See them below. And study my example. Study it closely.

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

Your photo must only show one person: the drummer. Any other musicians, roadies, audience members, groupies, sound guys, members of the press, etc - ANYONE else in the photo disqualifies it.
I don't care what kind of drummer you show: African djembe, Cuban congas, jazz or rock kits, Japanese taiko, Irish bodhran, etc.: as long as you show a drummer playing a drum or drums, it qualifies. Don't know what a drum is? See Wikipedia.
I don't care where it was taken: street performance, marching band, symphony orchestra, your cousin's garage, or the local punk rock club or rock-n-roll arena show.
I don't care if the drummer uses his hands, drumsticks or mallets. However, drummers using rubber chickens or vegetables will be (reluctantly) disqualified.
NOT ELIGIBLE: so-called 'tuned' percussion instruments such as marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones, etc. Tympani, while technically considered "tuned" drums, are ok (i.e. they are eligible). This challenge is about drums.
