Mantis Rescue

Our Cat caught and brought this mantis into the house. She dropped it on the floor to play with it. My wife said " get it out of here before the cat eats it ! " which I replied " I will - but first, I'm going to test my new camera and lens on it ". I placed the Mantis in our cat's pot of new growth oat grass and set on the kitchen table. Boy was was that mantis happy to get away from that cat ! He was a little sluggish, but crawled around in the grass and posed for quite a while.

Notes:	7D with 100mm f2.8 L IS macro - hand held using AI Servo Auto focus and the Hybrid IS. Used 580 EXII and 430 EXII Speedlights set on stands on the table top. Both flashes triggered by the 7D's wireless flash control.
