My own backyard

From the grand to the sublime, we will shift our focus from volcanoes to the natural world in your own backyard. Defining "backyard" (a North American term) for the world is a bit difficult as not everyone has a "backyard" or "back garden". So let's define it and make it the same for all: the photos entered into this challenge must be made within 10m of your primary residence (your home, not your cottage!). The photos must also be of naturally occurring subjects or phenomena. In realistic terms, this may also include garden plants and animals but no people, swings or sprinklers, please!
