Everybody has photos where they juuuust missed the perfect moment. A blink that spoils a portrait. Someone turns away right as the shutter is tripped. A capture made just after the peak of action. Sometimes, however, these "failures" can be more interesting than the "keepers". Show us your "just missed" shots that you find are more interesting than if you'd "nailed it" as you originally intended. Please read and follow the additional rules. Thanks

I was just pressing the shutter to snap a Tawny Eagle posing perfectly on a branch - when the branch broke. I didn't know what had happened since I was looking through the viewfinder so it was a surprise to see the above. I preferred it to the perfect pose.
