Tacky Roadside Art

Challenge #3 in the POV series. Hosted by AlexBakerPhotoz.

In the southern US, the term for tasteless, kitchy things is tacky. My mother would say: "Lord have mercy, would you just look at that tacky thing!" So to honor my mother's good taste, let's see some pictures of really tacky stuff you see from the highway. It's not quite the same as the cloying sentimentality of Kitsch but still related. If it's both tacky and kitchy, even better. I recommend the Florida Keys - a real goldmine for bad roadside art. One of my favorite places.

I was appalled to discover how many of my photos fit the category description, but this one has to be the tackiest. She presides over a wonderful rockhound shop on the edge of the Petrified Forest.
