More of the Extraordinay Ordinary - After the irony of Elliott Erwitt
Challenge has finished
Look at the work of the great Magnum photographer, Elliot Erwitt for his wonderful way of catching a quietly poignant, humerous or ironic moment. I don't mean his excellent photojournalism, but his personal work that shows his great sense of the comedy of life. Be rigorous, the subject and composition should be really arresting and amusing. Erwitt's work never looks planned but seems effortless and much of it is the lucky moment of being in the right place at the right time with the eye and skill of a great photographer. Work that does not fit into this subjective category may be disqualified. Please look at the Elliott Erwin websit for more insight into this great photographer: www.elliotterwitt.com
I hope to see work that is better than my own paltry samples.
