When the north wind blows the North Sea can get a bit choppy. Taken on the north East coast of England.

This must be the only subject that has come first in two separate challenges. My shot of the same lighthouse at Sunderland came first in the "Stormy Weather" challenge. a great shot!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and votes.

I was very cold... temperature ~ 4deg C and wind blowing a gale... Arctic style from the North.
I had to wedge my tripod agains a fence to stop it tipping over in the gusts!!.

I managed about 2 hours in total then called it a day, but got the shot in the bag.
