Starry Starry Night!

Challenge #14 in the The Creative Light Painter! series. Hosted by Lihkin.
Challenge has finished
Let's see your favorite shot of the stars. For the purpose of this challenge you can submit shots of stars and longer star trails- however, the star trails/ stars must be clearly visible. Please don't submit an image where you have moonlight or daylight/ twilight washing out the stars. We don't want to see just a little smattering of stars, but a whole lot of great stars against a dark night sky. Please ensure that there are no animals or people in the photograph. All complaints related to entries in this challenge, must be made during the submission phase. Once the submission phase ends and voting starts, complaints will not be entertained. Have fun!

This was my 1st attempt ever at any kind of long exposure. Only 30 seconds!, but it was way too lonely and cold at that time of night/year over at this iconic northern landmark. The glow to the lower right is emanating from Gateshead and Newcastle, ruining most long exposures. I will be taking an F80 up here next time, so nice long, noise free star trails are guaranteed. ;)

Shutter speed: -30 sec
Aperture: F4.5

Notes: Scarf, wooly hat, fingerless gloves, stout boots and a hot flask of tea, were all forgotten in my spur of the moment decision to take this shot. Luckily my tripod was made of sterner stuff than my feeble legs.
