Earth Textures: Patterns in stone
Challenge has finished
Patterns of geology, rock outcroppings, or even photomicrographs. The earth produces many different kinds of patterns, from columnar jointing to layered strata, and sand dunes. No plants, please, or animals. Just rocks. (Glacial ice, and sand dunes or other sedimentary deposits are also permitted.) No landscape shots--just images that show abstract geologic patterns at any scale.
