While on a tour of Spain, we stopped off to visit the Rock of Gibraltar. Here we saw the Barbary Macaques-the only wild primates found in Europe. Because these monkeys have no tails, they are also known locally as Barbary Apes. The Barbary Macaque is considered Gibraltar's unofficial national animal.
