The Rio de Ocreza near Foz de Cobrao in Central Portugal. This was taken on 9th March 2009. Usually at this time the volume of water flowing is much greater. As the picture shows there is very little water in evidence and the flow rate deminishes daily. This follows a very dry summer and winter in 2008 - 2009. Climate change? I guess time will tell. The terraced land is very dry and the local agriculture is being very badly affected.
