Unwelcome, Undesirable Insects or Spiders Challenge finished on Saturday, 09 Apr 2016 Here's your opportunity to show the world the problems insects or spiders can cause in our domestic lives. I'm thinking termites, wasps, stinging ants, bee swarms in unwanted places, bed bugs, midges which drive animals and Scottish Highlanders insane with their bites, leeches, (yes, I know they aren't insects or spiders), and any other nasties you can suggest. Entries of insects or spiders which I consider 'friendly' may be disqualified. Your entry should show an element of of the problems the insects or spiders have caused, or give us an explanation about these unwelcome guests. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
Winner: My garden in springtime
In the Garden.... Challenge finished on Saturday, 09 Apr 2016 Show off your garden in its best light. It can be at any season and it can depict any flora or fauna (as long as it's clear that it was taken in your garden), but only private gardens please - I don't want to see what the professionals are doing at Kew or Chelsea!

Winner: Rainier reflection on a pond (Early Summer)
On Golden Pond (NO LAKES) Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Apr 2016 Ponds that are tranquil and beautiful. That is our subject. Think about what aspects you can add to the image. Reflections, leading lines, framing? I would prefer natural ponds or tarns, but the public will decide who reigns supreme. I will not disqualify based on if it is a pond or lake but ask voters to use their judgement as to what is a pond and what is a lake. A pond is defined as a small body of still water formed naturally or by artificial means.
Winner: Glow with the Flow

Winner: Simply Red
Selective Color Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Apr 2016 This one almost requires post processing. Take a picture, then edit it so that everything except the subject is black and white. The subject can be anything. Some cameras have the ability to do this as the picture is taken. If yours doesn't have this, the picture will have to be post processed with your favorite software to remove the color from everything except the subject. The subject doesn't need to be one color. However, the fewer colors in the subject, the more dramatic the photo will be.
