Quad Challenge finished on Tuesday, 02 Mar 2010 We've seen challenges for doubles & twins. So, now that quad core CPUs are starting to crawl into your home computers, I'd like to see photos of quadruple items. Not really the four corners of a room, but to have things 4 times in your picture as the main subject. A shamrock with 4 leaves might bring you luck here...
Minimalism Challenge finished on Tuesday, 02 Mar 2010 From wikipedia.org: "Minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, where the work is stripped down to its most fundamental features". Sounds simple, no? ;). Let's see what you come up with. Minimalist art is not as easily definable as one may think, so nothing will be disqualified except for those entries which break any of the additional rules detailed below, which too, in my opinion, are fairly "minimal" ;)

Victorian Cutups! Challenge finished on Sunday, 28 Feb 2010 For awhile in the early days of photography it was popular to make collages from photographs, drawings and paintings. There is currently an exibition of them at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The samples are from an article in the New York times on that exhibit. http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/02/04/arts/20100205-VICTORIAN_index.html You don't need to make it look victorian unless that's what moves you.
Winner: I am born on the stage
All the world's a stage... Challenge finished on Sunday, 28 Feb 2010 Many people like to "ham it up" if given the chance. Here's an opportunity for people you know to play the actor for your camera. Enlist your friends, relatives (or even yourself) as models and let them "play act" however they want, whether it be a carefully posed and lit studio shot or an impromptu bit of staging. (In the later case, please try to avoid cheap looking snap shots). Events such as plays, live performances are not allowed. Subjects must be non-professionals: no professional models, actors or other performers allowed. Please see additional rules.
