Film Effects: Large or Prominent Grain Challenge finished on Thursday, 10 Mar 2011 Despite the desire of many digital photographers to reduce noise to the point of invisibility, there are times when films known for large grain (such as Kodak Hi Speed Recording Film or Anscochrome 500) were preferd because of how the large grain contributed to the image. As always with effects, large grain should compliment a solid image, not try to make up for a poor photo.
Winner: Dead Space
~Still Life wth Dead Animal Part(s)~ (Full Rich Colours Only) Challenge finished on Thursday, 10 Mar 2011 Be it a feather of an eagle, a tail of a peacock or a skull of an antelope, or a tail of a fox, etc etc, compose a well presented still life shot. You can use other props, but make sure the dead animal parts stands out. Make sure it's on theme and it looks good, otherwise, I might DQ it.

Winner: Eyebrow Orange
Book jacket: "Orange You Glad?" Challenge finished on Wednesday, 09 Mar 2011 The client, a seasoned humor writer, is looking for a photo for the cover of a new book. The title "Orange You Glad?" requires an orange theme. The writer is open to any idea related to orange, from fruit to safety cones. If the image is vertical, there must be room at the top for the title. If the image is horizontal, in order to wrap around the book, the subject must be on the right hand side and the upper right corner must leave room for text. Including the book title on your image will likely improve your chances.

Winner: Waiting, waiting, waiting,......
Tiring Challenge finished on Tuesday, 08 Mar 2011 A picture of some-one who is tired. Story Behind This Challenge: The last three days of my life have been pretty tiring as I skied the full Canadian Ski Marathon (167.3Km) with 10Lbs on my back (the silver) and then had a 7.5Km skate race today, so I thought I'd let people show how I (or you) would feel after doing all this.
