Extraordinary concurrence of circumstances Challenge finished on Saturday, 07 May 2011 Once and a while a picture is taken to hold more than one striking event or object at the same time. Like e.g. a dog jumping into a city fountain basin, while (at the same time in an other part of the picture) a woman’s shopping bag accidentally bursts open. Or, a low flying traffic liner fills the air together with the sight of a hot air balloon, again together with a full moon at daytime. All in one picture. This circumstances are rare, but than again there is this dpreview challenge host to invite the world to collect these special pictures. Pictures from which you can say: “this is truly the perfect example of an… extraordinary concurrence of circumstances”.
Winner: March for Tibet
Political statement (READ THE RULES) Challenge finished on Saturday, 07 May 2011 Let's see a picture that sends a political message. This message could be pro or against a certain party or candidate or it could be a message for a broader aim like "end poverty, drill here, or don't drill here, etc. Ideally we should understand the message from the picture alone BUT so that nobody is left scratching their heads you MUST include a brief synopsis of the message. This synopsis should be short and sweet. If this is not included your entry will be DQed no matter how powerful it is.
