Facing inwards and chat Challenge finished on Sunday, 22 Jan 2012 ***This is a complex challenge. Please read challenge comments below and click "show full rules" to understand the mechanism of this challenge.**** The rule of thirds should be a simple guide for the making of good compositions. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds *Please check back for details for uploading an improved version* However reasearch about what people consider good composition does NOT support this rule, Instead the preference seems to be for assymetric, "inward" oriented compostitions: - http://ist-socrates.berkeley.edu/~plab/pdf/PalmerGardner%26Wickens-1.pdf Show us ONE picture in which the subject is inward faced. However, entry in this challenge also obliges to give comments about all other entries in the series. Eventually you may enter an improved version of the first photo. See additional rules. You are encouraged to provide early comments during the submission stage to allow contestants to create an improved photo to submit before voting begins.

Give your photo the title "Mountain Village" and don't tell where it is. Obviously you may give a hint or clue in the description to help finding it, but do not give away the name.

You (READ THE RULES) Challenge finished on Saturday, 21 Jan 2012 Let's see a picture of you! It's time to be vain, don't be shy here as we're talking self portraits. You can do this by using a mirror, holding the camera and taking a picture of yourself myspace style, or even using a countdown timer, or remote shutter control. I'll fully admit that there's not much of a way I can check to make sure it's actually you in the photo so please just be honest. THIS IS A MUST: you must put in the title or description how you took the photo: countdown, remote, mirror, etc. If this is not done you WILL BE DQed
