Over & Under Challenge finished on Tuesday, 14 Feb 2012 Show us pictures containing both sides of the water surface. There are several ways to do it. You can carefully position the amphibious or waterproof-cased camera in such a way that the waterline halves the lens. Or you can sink a glass box into the water and take pictures through its side. There is, of course, aquarium photography. Lastly, you might consider skillfully composing the scene from two photos, but both have to be your own work... Within these limits, be inventive! PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES CAREFULLY. I hate having to disqualify a photo just because of an oversight...
Winner: Drumming Hands
Hands (Capture date rule) Please read all... Challenge finished on Tuesday, 14 Feb 2012 The main focus of the photo should be hands. The photo needs to be taken after the challenge is announced. The reason for this is to give you the opportunity to spend a little time planning and capturing an interesting shot. It's got to be worth an hour of your time to think and act creatively rather then watch TV. Your family could have fun helping you. This is not a snapshot challenge, it's a creative challenge. I'd rather have 7 quality attempts then a challenge full of file photos. Additional rules apply, please read carefully.

Animal Migration Challenge finished on Monday, 13 Feb 2012 Animal migration is the relatively long-distance movement of individuals, usually on a seasonal basis. It is a ubiquitous phenomenon, found in all major animal groups, including birds, mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and crustaceans. The trigger for the migration may be local climate, local availability of food, the season of the year or for mating reasons] To be counted as a true migration, and not just a local dispersal or irruption, the movement of the animals should be an annual or seasonal occurrence, such as birds migrating south for the winter, or a major habitat change as part of their life, such as young Atlantic salmon leaving the river of their birth when they have reached a few inches in size. PLS SHOW US ONE OR GROUP OF ANIMALS VISITING YOUR COUNTRY AND DESCRIBE WHEN IT'S COMING AND WHERE FROM.
