Creative Filters: Macro Challenge finished on Friday, 27 Jan 2012 Close-up shots taken with the aid of a macro filter or diopter. You are free to enter shots of any kind of subject. You MUST have used a macro filter or diopter to achieve your result. These are special kinds of filters that typically screw onto the end of a primary lens. They are often described as being +3, +5, +10, etc, as a measure of their strength. Photographs taken with multi-element macro filters (eg: Marumi 200, Raynox 150) are fully eligible. You CANNOT have used a dedicated macro lens to achieve your shot. Any entries taken with dedicated macro lenses will be disqualified.

A wet subject...(No swimming) Challenge finished on Thursday, 26 Jan 2012 Wet. The subject must be visibly wet. This is not a water challenge, so NO swimming. Examples: Dew on a spider web, a child or dog playing in a sprinkler, raindrops on flowers or other objects, beads of sweat on an athlete. When framing your picture, keep in mind, the water is not the subject.
- Rotated shadows - Challenge finished on Thursday, 26 Jan 2012 Take a shot with the camera in a rotated position OR you can rotate it (or flip it) in post processing, to make the shadows prominent and thus presenting the viewers with something they don't see outright. The rotation can be of any degree, and you can crop it anyhow you want.
