- An Elderly Couple - (BW Portrait with Border and Title Watermark) Challenge finished on Monday, 25 Nov 2013 BW Portraits are special and effective. However, are you up to the task when the difficulty is multipled by 2? Take a shot with an elderly couple (one man + one woman) and process it to a BW shot. The subjects must show face, neck and some degree of shoulders. Anything else is up to you, however there must be no other living human in the shot. Each member is allowed to enter 2 shots provided the main subjects are different. Finally put a border and title watermark on your shot.

Clock Towers Challenge finished on Friday, 22 Nov 2013 Photoes of Clock Towers are welcomed. In many ways Clock towers are esteemed as some type of historical, Cultural land marks of certain places. Although clock towers are today mostly admired for their aesthetics, they once served an important purpose. Before the middle of the twentieth century, most people did not have watches, and prior to the 18th century even home clocks were rare. The first clocks didn't have faces, but were solely striking clocks, which sounded bells to call the surrounding community to work or to prayer. They were therefore placed in towers so the bells would be audible for a long distance. Clock towers were placed near the centres of towns and were often the tallest structures there. As clock towers became more common, the designers realized that a dial on the outside of the tower would allow the towns people to read the time whenever they wanted.
