Limited Depth of Focus - Great Bokeh!
Challenge finished on Wednesday, 03 Jun 2009
In this challenge, look for subjects that will pop out of the photo when using a large f/stop (old school term meaning a large aperture opening -- f/1, f/1.2, f/1.4, f/2, f/2.8, f/3.5, f/4). I am looking for "JUST" the subject to be in focus, and the background very "Out of Focus". Hint to beginners: Use a longer focal length and move closer to the subject. . Open Subject matter.

At the Zoo
Challenge finished on Tuesday, 02 Jun 2009
Title says it all. Try to find your most unique or at least unusual shots while at a zoo or Wild Animal park. This challenge may be more challenging than you think but that shouldn't deter the brave photogs of DPR! One caveat: while it is not necessarily necessary that animals be the focus of the shot, it must be obvious that the shot was taken in a zoo or Wild Animal park. Safaris don't count., as wild animal preserves do not count as parks. Good Luck!
