Carnivorous Plants Challenge finished on Saturday, 30 Mar 2013 This challenge is for you to showcase your photos of those strange and unusual plants, such as sundews, snaptraps, pitcher plants etc. which derive their nutrients from trapped insects, spiders or even tiny animals. Capture your photos in the natural environment if you can, though some of these carnivorous plants may be in pots or baskets, because that is the only way we can see and experience them. cambodia 2 of 4: traditional (non-environmental) portraits Challenge finished on Thursday, 28 Mar 2013 When we think of Cambodia, our thoughts naturally turn to Angkor Wat. But its people are incredibly photogenic. From monks, to adorable children, to adults working in their day-to-day lives, it's hard to find a person that is not worthy of a photograph. So, show us these images. Last week was 'environmental portraits--so, this week are traditional portraits. Typically, this means a much closer crop in on the subject. The subject may be looking into the camera. The lighting should add to the image, rather than detract from it.
