Old Town - in the heart of a big city. Challenge finished on Friday, 30 Dec 2011 Entries should present views from the historic inner circle of a city called old town. Don't post shots from old villages. There are too many of them. A city here means a major town or capital of a region, state or country. Show us what has impressed you most. Avoid crowds of people shots taken from within a crowd - try to compose the picture by focusing on the typical archtectural highlights of the old town. People should be a nice addition - not the main subject. Avoid close up details e.g. just doors or statues - think w i d e.

-Purrrrfect Ending- Challenge finished on Thursday, 29 Dec 2011 This is a high volume challenge engineered to push one CAT Photo into the finals. Theme, anything related to domestic or stray cat/cats. Cat running, cat napping, cat eating, cat silhouette, cat shadow, cat in mid air, cat on a hot tin roof, cat and dog, cat fur, cat whiskers, cat tail, cat claws, cat composites, cat in black and white,. as long as it is alive. Limit per person - 30. Total limit on number of entries- 799. Only one condition - shot must not have been entered in other previous challenges.
1/2 Red and 1/2 Green Challenge finished on Thursday, 29 Dec 2011 Dominate your photo with the colors of Red and Green. This does not need to be Christmas related. Other color may exist, but it should really be a Red/Green picture. And, the challenge is to have equal parts red and equal green, or as close to equal as you can. I don't want to see a thin red ribbon on a big green package. But, you could zoom in an crop a red bow on a green package so you have similar area off red and green in the picture.
