Jigsaw Puzzle #3. Landscape, influenced by Man Challenge finished on Saturday, 16 Mar 2013 Show us an example of a very busy, detailed landscape which would make a great jigsaw puzzle. There must be evidence of man-made structures, such as roads, buildings, bridges over rivers or streams, orchards, tree plantations, vineyards, cultivated fields, etc. NO cityscapes, townscapes or seascapes this time please. A (Fish) Eye on Man Challenge finished on Saturday, 16 Mar 2013 Shine a light on humans through a fish eye. Post pictures that show love for human nature by using a focal length that it much more prone to bring caricatural results. Is it not challenging enough for you? If so, note that voters are suggested to prise especially the following factors, in order of decreasing importance: - candid, unposed shot - at least 50% of frame is occupied by human parts (not necessarily the face) - showing love for human nature (i.e. not offending, comic shots) - focal length < 12 mm (on 35 mm equiv.)

First set of wheels Challenge finished on Friday, 15 Mar 2013 'Wheels' describes any wheeled vehicle including bi- or tri-cycles, skates, scooters, motorcycles, automobiles, etc. 'First' describes a situation in which a person is the process of mastering or has just mastered the operation of the wheels. A classic depiction of what I have in mind is a child learning to operate (ride) a bicycle. However, the subject does not have to be young. Some people learn to operate wheels later in life. ENTRANTS, please read 'Additional Rules'; VOTERS should open each submission and read any comments. Judgment should be based on the moment captured and its significance to the operator as much as any technical perfection of the image itself.
