A tribute to Pin Up Challenge finished on Friday, 15 Mar 2013 Sexy, risque, but never x-rated. THis is a tribute to the traditional 1940's and 50's pin ups that graced calendars and the sides of war planes. No nudity....I don't want my mail box filled up with complaints from immature people.

Bats Challenge finished on Friday, 15 Mar 2013 The creature most commonly associated with the night is bats. So let's see your bats. The photos do not have to be taken at night but a bat must be the primary focus of the photo.
First set of wheels Challenge finished on Friday, 15 Mar 2013 'Wheels' describes any wheeled vehicle including bi- or tri-cycles, skates, scooters, motorcycles, automobiles, etc. 'First' describes a situation in which a person is the process of mastering or has just mastered the operation of the wheels. A classic depiction of what I have in mind is a child learning to operate (ride) a bicycle. However, the subject does not have to be young. Some people learn to operate wheels later in life. ENTRANTS, please read 'Additional Rules'; VOTERS should open each submission and read any comments. Judgment should be based on the moment captured and its significance to the operator as much as any technical perfection of the image itself.
TOYS FOR BOYS!! Challenge finished on Friday, 15 Mar 2013 Photographs of playthings that mostly interest boys in the age group of 1-10 years. Focus on the toy, attention to detail. An apt title and brief description is a must.

Thailand 4 of 4: city/village life Challenge finished on Thursday, 14 Mar 2013 Okay, we've moved from the people of Thailand, to its natural beauty. Now, show us where people live. It can be urban Bangkok, a more relaxed city like Chiang Mai, or a sleepy village in the middle of nowhere. People will be present, naturally, in many/most of these shots. But use your skills as a photographer (or, for older images, as an editor) and submit ones where the main subject is not a person (ie, don't submit an environmental portrait.) I wish I had a great definition to give you, but I don't. So, do your best...try and submit early in the process, so that if I DQ you, I give you time to submit another one. Since this challenge is less well defined than the previous 3 (which is entirely my, entirely), let's try to have fun with it. Let's try to show a bit of village or city life in Thailand that is not often seen. **UPDATE** FOR THIS CHALLENGE, YOU **MUST** VOTE ON OR BEFORE TUESDAY. (IE, YOU HAVE ONLY 6 DAYS TO VOTE, INSTEAD OF 7 DAYS!!!!).

What Is This? – III. Challenge finished on Thursday, 14 Mar 2013 Let's see more of your "mysterious" images! Take a photo of something unusual, or of something usual in an unusual way. Don't submit previously entered images; show us something we haven't seen yet. Present your object sharp and clear (blur is no "mystery", just hard on the eyes)! Then go see what the other Entrants' images show, and type your suggestion in the Comment field below their images. At the end of Voting period, each Entrant should explain their image for what it is, so we'll see who managed to guess correctly. ATTENTION: Please observe all the rules! If your image is DQ'd, all the added comments will go too. So PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK that everything is correct BEFORE submitting your work!
