Sigma-Foveon Panoramas!
Challenge finished on Saturday, 03 Oct 2009
Show us your very best Panorama taken with a Sigma-Foveon camera. The challenge is to depict your mastery of the art of the photo-panorama. The 'Insight' aspect of the challenge is to demonstrate your understanding and mastery of this sometimes demanding technology. For those who aren’t technically minded about these matters: Most digital cameras use a Bayer sensor, which captures red, green and blue light (RGB) using a Colour Filter Array -- one colour at each photosite. Sigma uses the Foveon sensor, which captures RGB at each and every photosite. This is a very different way of capturing an image that produces pictures with great colour depth and sharpness. For more information, see: http://www.dpreview.com/learn/?/key=sensors

Scale
Challenge finished on Friday, 02 Oct 2009
Submit an image that shows scale. So you could submit an image of a small tree against a mountain or a boat against a waterfall. Try and get creative with your subjects- the idea is to show us something we would not think is big/ small and then with the secondary subject surprise us as to how big/ small the primary subject really is. Please do not include any people or animals in the image. For this challenge, the image must be taken AFTER the announcement date of the challenge. Note: Any complaints about the entries, must be submitted ONLY during the submission phase. Once the submission phase ends and voting starts, complaints will not be entertained.
