Naturally Shiny

Challenge #113 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In this challenge, show us subjects which are shiny in nature, where the texture of the subject is smooth and (usually) highly reflective. Show us shiny sea shells, the hard exoskeleton wings of beetles, shiny leaves, pebbles, rocks or wood polished by the weather. The subject of your entry must be tangible, and able to be touched, so sunshine, sunsets, reflections of water, will probably be DQ'd. Macro and close-ups welcome. Where possible, the subject should be outside in the natural environment. SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM ON LONGER SIDE.
