Seed Pods #2

Challenge #99 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In this challenge, show us seed pods: EITHER pods or capsules with their seeds still inside, after the flowers have bloomed, OR the pods are empty now, but are still interesting to look at for their textures, shape, colour and size. They should be in their natural environment, still on or near the plant whether it is a tree, shrub, small plant or grass. Insects, spiders or other small creatures may be present, but the seed pod should be the main subject of the picture. Size, 1,600px MAXIMUM on the entry's longer side. Macro and close-ups welcome.
