In both of those challenges, the distribution of votes (no longer visible) was strange with a bell shape distribution peaking at about 2.5 stars, plus multiple votes at 5 stars. Without those 5 star votes, the photos would not have won. One wonders what the second placed contestants feel about this …

Personally I do not feel someone with this record should be hosting challenges, or even be a member of DPR.

Does the picture have to be from within the aircraft, or just being above the clouds would be sufficient? I have a picture taken at the top of a mountain with clouds below. Would that qualify? Thx.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but this challenge is only for aviation lovers - the picture must be taken only from an aircraft in flight.
