My entry was disqualified because "the tent must be visible." Where does it say this in the rules? My entry was the underside of a tent, taken from beneath the tent. It is the ONLY thing visible. I notice at least one of the other entries has only part of a tent showing. How is this acceptable? Granted, my entry was in black and white. If you did not want that type of image you should have said so in the rules. You CANNOT make up new rules after the challenge is completed!!

Dear Frank Parisi, I totally agree with you: new rules can not be and should not be added once the challenge is announced (only additional clarifications can be made if necessary). However, I believe in this specific case there is no additional rule: we have to be able to "describe" what we see as a tent as the theme of this challenge is "tents". I really liked your entry personally but it was rather an abstract image as without your description, it would be impossible to notice it's a part of a tent. I hope I could make myself clear and I hope to see your entries in future challenges. Best regards

Entry form stated I must use capture date. Image was a scan of print taken in summer of 1998. Are digital images only, accepted as my entry is being rejected?

capture date is a must for any challenge entries in dpr, it's not a rule specific to my challenges. You can enter your scanned photo but in this case, you have to manually provide the capture date I assume

How in the world can you accept a photo taken with a film camera? The name of this site is "Digital Photography Review," which I view as photography taken with a digital camera. In my work, I scan documents almost every day and in no way am I partaking in photography.
