Sometimes it's not in plain view, when other things happen to be between your theme and the camera. It may be a curtain, bushes, smoke... but you take a shot anyway. Show us your theme hidden or obstructed by something you weren't able to avoid. PLEASE read the rules carefully before submitting your entry!

Processing rules:

Digitally taken photos with full EXIF only.
Longer side of the photo MUST NOT be over 1600px.
Format and Aspect may be as you please.
Minor Post-Processing interventions are acceptable.
No Composite photos - One-Shot photo contents only.
No Frames nor Borders.
No watermarks, no date/time nor any other identification allowed.

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

Observe DPR Rules on decency. Entries which may offend the viewer in any sense will be disqualified.
Your Entry MUST have a proper Title. Titles containing camera codes or such (alone or anywhere within the Title) will be disqualified.
DO NOT comment under individual entries until the end of Voting Period so as not to influence fair judgment. Comments will be removed.
Sandbagging, vote soliciting or any other improper voting attempt puts the perpetrator on the Blacklist.
Entrants / Voters blacklisted and/or caught cheating in ANY DPR Challenge are NOT WELCOME in my Challenges, and will be removed on sight.

Every photo in the challenge is breaking a rule. You ask for full EXIF, but then state:

"No watermarks, no date/time nor any other identification allowed."

This rule relates to the visual content of the image.
As for the EXIF, none of camera informations reveal the identity of the Entrant, which is why it can be allowed and also useful.

Many of the shots just simply look like badly composed images that could have been avoided if the photographer simply took a couple of steps sideways, or just moved the subject. I thought the challenge was for those images where you could not avoid the obstacle but took the shot anyway because the subject was too good not to.

You're right there, and sometimes I wonder, an I failing to communicate when I compose the Challenge introduction and/or the rules? Probably; to a degree.
Then again, majority of entrants always submit correctly.
Oh well. Different thinking is probably normal, worldwide.

Do read the Rules, folks... It's easier to upload once than twice or more... :)

Guilty... as charged! I do apologize for wasting time and bandwidth. I read the rules, resized before submitting, and STILL chose to upload a photo that didn't qualify. I can't speak for the other 55 though. ;o) Thanks for being patient.
