Very simple: just submit your best picture of animal herd(s). There have to be at least 5 to 10 animals of the same species so that it can be considered a herd. Please read the rules carefuly

I don't think I know anyone who regards birds, butterflies, turkeys, ducks, or fish as "animals" in the normally accepted use of the term.

Respectfully, I think you may be confusing animals with mammals. The five basic kingdoms of life are monera, protists, fungi, plants, and animals. Since the critters you speak of are not single-celled, and are certainly not plants or fungi, they must be animals.

So if a host has a challenge 'Flock of...' then it's okay to enter fish, or flies or elephants?
In general parlance we talk about herds of animals, flocks of birds, shoals of fish, swarms of flies!
I'm very confused, but wot's new! :-(

Yes, Gerry...I am aware that a snake is a reptile...but according to Merriam Webster, fish, birds, insects, reptiles, mammals, and human beings are all animals. I'm just wondering what the host considers an "animal" for this challange.

As I have been disqualified from another challenge, could I please confirm what you mean by herds. Do you mean 'herd' or just any gathering of animals eg schools, flocks, packs, sleuths, colonies etc?

By animal herd, I mean all animal groupings, gatherings where at least 5 of the same species are together...
