It´s incredible. That's why our world is like this. The rules are clear. How can this happen? It's a shame. I lost my interest on participating, or still consulting this site. It's not correct. It's not fair. This is simply time losing...
To remember "Additional Rules: Must show the physical lamp."

LAMPS PEOPLE!! LAAAMMMPPPSSSS... geezus christ, does anyone care about the rules? " behind the scenes look at how a photographer uses creative lighting, in this case the lamps, to illuminate his subject." Translation: the photo you enter should be an in progress photo, showing the different positioning/style of lamps used to achieve the final product, not a final product photo. A great example would be the photos that ranked 3rd, 22nd and 50th. The lamps shown in these photos were never intended to ever be seen in the photos, while many of the entries main focus was a picture of a lamp, and according to the rules... well I'm sure you all get my point by now...

I read it like that too. However the title is Light-Lamps. The way the sentence is written could be confusing, but the emphasis seems to be in the sentence between the commas “in this case the lamps”.

I've read the rules several times, and the host's description for the challenge, and it seems to me that many of the entries have ignored the host's request for the SUBJECT to be illuminated by a lamp. Instead they have made the LAMP the sole subject of the picture. Am I missing something here?

No Ruthc, you are not missing anything you are right on point. I see, and this is pushing it, seven photos which meet the criteria. Seven out of the 105 entries. I know it would be rude to DQ this many entries but in my mind, and just about everywhere else in the world, if you don't follow the rules you can't participate. But these are just harmless photo challenges and as long as people vote according to the challenge rules, things will iron themselves out. My chances look good so time to enter.

Ruth you are not missing anything. The host needs to get busy doing his duty and DQ'ing the many unqualified entries.
