Voting is NOT Possible for quite a few hours. Please do something if you can.

We all know what a well stated and challenging a challenge is, when we find ourselfs planning for it and for the whole photo session to achieve its targets, here is where the passion hides, sheer enjoyment of grabbing your camera and take (not snap) photos.

I agree with g7berger, this is very discouraging and simply drops the rate of participation. I can speak only for myself, my participation rate was about 80% (because I do not enter on HDR challeges) and it dropped to 2% in the last 3 months. I noticed too that the choice to enter in new challenges are way smaller, the entries are getting smaller and the voting is just non existant. I speak for myself, for the last three months I did not enter neither casted any vote for this reasons and because most of challenges boil down to cute baby or girlfriends faces, pets and tasteless renditions of almost bare naked ladies. I will consider common and minimal courtesy to give just a smalll note indicating why an entry is desqualify. I summited an entry (factory) which was the bastion of the economy of the city and country I live, and indicated what it is. A small cautionnary note sent to the participant before closing time will do (as a lot of the good old times hosts used to do). It seems to me that most hosts now give an aiotta, and just poste a challenge and return to work on it just after the closing date to put hands on. Or, most of the time, hosts are plain uninformed about much that is or was beyond his country’s borders, just like most of us are. Other times, like here, the summary statement given by the host is simply poor and unclear which opens the door to anything-goes entries. Add to this, the sprawling of ridiculous rules such us caption date, and the latest gig, ‘only winners of previous challenges’ participation rule. (to continue)

Also, it looks like the entry number gets smaller as the voting continues!!

My entry was also disqualified days after posting. I cannot see any clear rules it is violating.

It is discouraging and I am considering not entering any of these anymore.
