What is up to you? So important to be supported with insults. Wrong place for you, I have being here before you and long enough to learn manners at least. I had long ago climb over and out of my backyard fence to learn and explore about the world and respect other peoples opinions without being the nameless thing you appear to be.

When are you going to DQ the CHEATs ? or aren't you bothering to check ?

The host should take his sweep and wipe off (DQ) all the contributions made by illiterate people who are not capable of reading or understanding the title or don’t care. This challenge is full of images which are not following the rules and don't have anything to do with the subject. Hosts should not allow this.

The challenge description implies that the photo should be taken during the afternoon - "using your camera through the day and taking us places we will never go." Doesn't need to be of people sleeping

...well, there lies the discrepancy! because "siesta" , wheather someone is thinking of redifining the English, Spanish or 'Crappish" diccionary means: afternoon nap.
Oh! now that I am thinking, people do have an alternative here: sleep walking in mid afternoon, holding a camera and chasing a photo oportunity. K)

So far 32 entries of which 21 deserve to be disqualified cause the images have nothing to do with siestas much less with afternoon breaks. Stars are given when voting, any suggestions about what to give for disqualifications?

Siesta is someone sleeping at mid-afternoon. Sorry but lack of clarity invites participants to summint just whatever as if anything goes. Does not levels up with the standards and quality of the challenges and DP site.

Like and agree with both account, but I specially do not agree with the host's understanding of what a siesta is. Boy, I see a lot of entries that have nothing to do with what a siesta is. A siesta by definition in spanish language (not a mere or poor translation) is someone sleeping not just having a break seated or simply contemplating.

I dislike challenges with capture date rules. I don't think they serve any useful purpose and I would like to urge fellow participants not to bother with challenges containing them in the future.I would also like to ask the host to be a bit more careful about what he asks for in a challenge. Siesta means "midday rest or nap in the hot countries", not just "afternoon break" as mentioned in the challenge. I think it is usually a good idea for participating photographers to have an exact understanding of what they are trying to depict....

"useful purpose" ... this is a photo challenge not a learning tool.

The "purpose" of the capture date rule is to get current images and get folks out taking images. It is to break away from the folks that keep entering the same images into new challenges. Clear enough?

I would ask that you be less narrow minded ... should I define that for you?
