Caterpillars, one or more.... hairy ones, green ones, ones with spots or stripes, brightly coloured ones; I don't mind, as long as they are caterpillars, before they pupate and grow into moths or butterflies. Show us caterpillars on leaves, flowers, tree trunks etc. out in the real world, and not under studio lights. SIZE DOES MATTER: See below!

Processing rules:

SIZE: Longest side of entry, MAXIMUM 1600px.
Digital photos only, with full EXIF data.
Colour only.
No HDR.
Don't remove the background.
TITLE: Give your entry a title, not just an IMG number
No watermarks or forms of identification.

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

I'm sorry the Sandbaggers were active in the voting stages of this challenge. Wish I could do something about it. What poor miserable lives they must lead to have nothing better to do with their time than to spoil everyone else's fun! Many excellent entries do not reflect their true places in the challenge scores, IMO.

So many fantastic photos of caterpillars.... the colours, variation in hairs, spots, stripes etc. There are many entries of caterpillars that I've never seen, living here at the bottom of the world. And I can appreciate how difficult it is to get the whole caterpillar in focus, especially when he/she decides to keep moving, and the hairs are swaying in all directions! At least they can't fly away, (or not at this particular time.)
