Fire is an intriguing element of nature that is extremely sensitive to environmental variables. Some of these variables may be identified as astrological or ethereal, while others maintain the incidental clause. However your mode of frame, the objective is to submit for display photographs that demonstrate abstract forms from flames that become distinguishable as something people can identify with.

Processing rules:

Basic levels adjustments are accepted. Anything that changes pixel lattice relationships is not accepted. Submitted photos will go through a computer analysis of pixel relationships to check for fraudulent mockups of photo fakes. Disputes can only be resolved if person submitting provides the RAW file.

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

Use a proper exposure of the flames so to include the visible range of the flames.
Practice caution near flames.
Be responsible.

Meshing two different images together captured from different cameras. Each camera manufacturer use their own color interpolation algorithms, different resolutions and lenses factors in differences in pixel pattern distributions. Also the use of smudge tools and stamp tools reveal differences in distributions inconsistent with the rest of the photo.

There is an open source software that simplifies the identification of photo tampering using the same principles I described.

I will take a look at submissions on Sunday to check if any are questionable. My concern seeing some of the submissions is that several do not meet the intent of this challenge. Perhaps I was not clear and I did not include this in the requirements list: Images of flames must represent something identifiable, like a human shape, object or other recognizable form.

However I wiill leave the submissions that do not fit in since I fault myself for not making this clear.
