Here in the northern hemisphere, many people plant vegetables or fruits in their garden. It might be a large backyard or a terracotta pot. Show me a picture of your garden (with something growing) or your early harvest of goodies. If you're in the southern hemisphere, most likely you're harvesting your summer crop.

Processing rules:

Regular PP is allowed, no exaggerated PP or exaggerated HDR.

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

Images should be taken within the last 12 months. May 2011 - May 2012.
All images should be of edible plants, either fruits or vegetables.
Humans are allowed but the focus is on the harvest, or someone working in their garden. Too much emphasis on the person and the image will be disqualified.
No prepared foods.
No flower photos.
The harvest must be grown in your garden (not purchased at the local market).

The rules preclude any shots taken after the start of submissions - was that your intention?

No, that was my error, I wanted to give everyone an opportunity to submit images. Depending on climate and location, limiting photos to after the announcement did not seem fair. You can take photos until the submission closes..
I apologize for any confusion.

I live in an apartment and don't have any garden! Is any produce coming from any garden or farm acceptable?

Yes, but you should have some connection with the garden, gardener or produce. While you could go to the local farmer's market and purchase "produce", at least tell us that is what you did. I would rather see images showing the product of the garden and NOT produce that was prepared for sale in a large market.
