I agree, quite a few entries didn't show or understand the effects of tilt-shift too. It can be presented in 2 extremes meaning either you have everything in focus (especially useful in macro jewellery photography) or selectively focusing a horizontal or vertical plane in the photo. But the main use of tilt-shift is not in blurring photos but to correct keystoning effect.

IMO - host of the challege , doesn't know what "tilt-shift" means for
photographers from pre-digital era. For "photoshop baby boomers" - tilt-shift
it's just a kind of post processing technique, with final effect similar to lensbaby
effect.
