Processing rules:

Basic processing allowed to keep the integrity of the image, but, please keep it to a minimum.

Capture date rules:

Images must be shot after the announcement date of the challenge.

Additional rules:

No HDR
Do not mention equipment name in the title in order to avoid biased voting
No more than 1600 pixels on the longest side
EXIF data must be included in the image

I was going through the entries in the challenge and I finally ended up disqualifying a total of 42 entries out of 121 submitted. Many of them I had deleted before the submission phase. The total entries allowed in the challenge was 100. Currently as it stands, the entries that qualify for voting number 70.

Majority of the entries disqualified were violating the size rule which stated max 1600 px. From this exercise one can gather that participants don't even care to go through the rules. If I did not take the action it would mean I failed all those participants who followed the rule. By doing so I am promoting fair play.

I am not perfect and may have failed to spot an entry which may be somehow violating the rule but I expect the participants to drop me a line and point me in the right direction so I can correct the anomaly, a couple of them did approach me with relevant info and I took appropriate action.

I have disqualified a bunch of entries not following the rules of the challenge. if anyone feels that an entry is not following the rules please come forward and say so.

You say only natural light, but I see entries with artificial light ?

I have disqualified an entry, just now and checking others carefully, if you can point out the ones you think were shot with artificial light, please let me know and I will surely take appropriate action.
