Ponds

I had an image DQ'ed too, jalywol, and I think its a little much because it IS a "pond". But hey, its just for fun.....I guess. I know its your challenge Boasty, but maybe a definition of Pond would have been nice. When a photo of an actual "pond" is submitted then DQ'ed because it didnt meet your definition, I think its just more confusion. Great Pond obviously isnt classified as a lake anywhere, because in Maine its a "pond".

And a question: If I submit my DQ'ed image to your "Lakes" challenge, am I going to be DQ'ed because its actually a "pond" here in Maine?

DuaneV i can understand what you mean, where large bodies of water have been called ponds everywhere is different. but pond is ment to be a small body of water, i will put up some example pics soon, and no your photo would not be DQ'ed from the lakes challange, i think its a great example of a lake.

Listen, Im REALLY not trying to be a pain, honestly. Its just where Im from we have some large ponds. I figured as long as I was posting a photo of a body of water that my State called a "pond" that that would be fine. I understand that you want a small little "duck pond". No problem.
