They say the bluest skies are in Seattle, but I think there in Lightroom... Looking for some crazy blue skies so find a good one in your archives and kick it up a notch. Not enough to make it look fake but just enough so people believe it's real. Don't forget the other 2 rules below. Only 60 slots but with size and title rule there will be some DQ's but act fast if you want to play.

In voting, how much weight should be given to the quality of the blue sky versus the quality of the image (composition, exposure, focus, interest factor, etc). For instance, should an image with a super blue sky with nothing else of interest in the photo score higher than an image with an ordinary blue sky with otherwise fantastic qualities?

Entirely up to you. I think first and foremost it needs to adhere to the rules and I've made sure they all do. Some might embrace the rules better then others and that is worth something but in the end it's the ones you like best that should score highest.

Why, oh why don't entrants read the rules before submitting their gems? Poor Mike has better things to do with his time than DQ'ing entries because they didn't add titles into their shots.

I knew I'd have to. It seems to be getting better over time. I guess the regulars are getting used to the rules.
